josh hamilton says blue eyes don't work very well
last year's AL MVP is hitting .122 with 0 home runs and only 4 RBI in day games. but at night he's batting .374 with 6 home runs and 28 RBI. he thinks the reason he can't hit when it's light out is because his eyes are blue. according to espn's tim kurkjian on sportscenter today, lots of "baseball people," as well as this dallas optometrist, agree with him. how have i gone my whole life without knowing this? i have blue eyes and have always been able to see really well. imagine if i had the good colored eyes? i was never much of a hitter as a kid, and now i know why. a brown eyed me would have been crushing home runs all over the place in little league. and i wonder where my promising tennis career could have gone if i'd been able to see the ball?
