Party of Five debuted on TV in September of 1994. The intro song, Closer to Free by the BoDeans, came out in 1993 as the first track on the album Go Slow Down. The song was re-released as a single in 1996, with the fame it gained from the show propelling it as high as No. 16 on the Billboard charts.The thing that always bugged me about Party of Five was that Mathew Fox's character Charlie was eight years older than Scott Wolf's character Bailey, but in reality Fox is two years younger than Wolf. Also it just juts occurred to me for the first time that it's pretty funny their names are "Fox" and "Wolf."
I chose this song because for some reason NBC randomly played it while cutting to a commercial on Sunday Night Football last week.
