If Tom Brady really believes he did nothing wrong, he should sue the NFL for "defamation of character"

I would like to preface everything below by adamantly saying I DO NOT think Tom Brady and the Patriots are completely innocent.  I'm simply suggesting a course of action IF that is the case.

Honestly, I don't know what to believe.  I've read a lot of pro-Brady articles that rip the Wells report to shreds.  Brady's agent insists it's an absolute sham.  Bob Kraft also released a statement in which he continues to proclaim his club is not guilty.

My guess is something a little fishy was going on, and Brady knew it.  How big a deal that is though, is a different conversation.  Regardless, we're going to learn a lot about Brady's actual level of culpability by the way he handles this.  Obviously there will be an appeal, but that would happen no matter what.

However, if Brady truly did nothing wrong, he needs to shout it from the rooftops.  He should hold a press conference and yell and scream and say this whole thing is complete bull$#!+.  From what I've seen, it appears as though the findings of the Wells report would crumble under any sort of legal scrutiny.  If Brady really believes he is not at fault, I'd love to see him sue the NFL for "defamation of character."

I'm 99 percent sure that's not going to happen though, which will mean he's something less than 100 percent innocent.
