In 1995, the Goo Goo Dolls' album A Boy Named Goo put them on the pop culture map due to the success of the single Name.I remember being shocked when Name came out and my freshman year college roommate (who was from music-loving Austin, Texas and not a fan of pop) told me that he'd been listening to the Goo Goo Dolls for about five years already and their new hit single was garbage.
He be happy to know that rather than pick the obvious choice for this blog, I went with one of the more underrated songs from the disk, Naked, instead.
