From the 'How can this be real news story?' department: NBA investigating the throwing of a seat cushion


As I write this blog, the No. 2 "Top Headline" on ESPN.com (see above) reads:

Austin Rivers' cushion heave looked at by NBA

Here are the first two paragraphs of the story:


I didn't read any more than that, because, come on, are you kidding me?

No joke, a drunk woman two rows behind me at the Celtics game last night threw her beer at the very-annoying-but-slightly-less-drunk girls in front of her.  Some of it got on me.  It was wet, and I experienced a bit of "discomfort."  Maybe I should get USA Today on the phone...

On another note, how perfect is it that this seat cushion incident happened at Sleep Train Arena?
